Ma & Pa Railroad Walking Tour - Team Track

The part of the siding pictured served as the team track for Muddy Creek Forks. Here incoming carloads of freight were spotted so that the person or business to whom the shipment was consigned could pull a wagon or truck up to the car to unload its contents. Outgoing shipments from individuals or businesses not located along a dedicated siding were also loaded onto empty cars at the team track. A common commodity loaded at the team track in Muddy Creek Forks was railroad ties cut from local woodlands.
